Black Lives Matter

Suicide doesn’t discriminate

Suicide takes thousands of lives per year in the UK. Years of love, memories, relationships and possibilities are lost each time a person dies by suicide. We are losing our family members, our friends, our neighbours and work colleagues. It affects every community so we need to support our communities to have to prevent suicide – provide them with tools and knowledge that can be cascaded far and wide.

It is through this approach that the Community Connectors Suicide Prevention programme has been developed for Birmingham communities. Conceptualised by Common Unity and Forward For Life, this approach will empower communities to provide learning to their networks on the challenge of suicide and how to support people to stay alive.
